Apple Watch

Lokate comes with an Apple Watch companion app. In the watch App on your phone, look for Lokate and the INSTALL button right of it. If no INSTALL button is present, Lokate WatchApp is already on your watch!

The WatchApp is meant to give you access for just a few critical functions; current location, the ability to create a marker and if you have assigned an “Active Area” your heading and distance to this area. Note that Lokate must be running on your phone for location updates though you do not need an active assignment. To drop a marker, you will need to have started to record an assignment.

With your iPhone in pocket or backpack, a solid GPS signal may be hard to get and location updates may be slow. The Lokate WatchApp indicates with a solid green line under the location string that it was updated less than 5 seconds ago. A yellow underline means the location is between 5 and 10 seconds old, a red underline indicates older than 10 seconds.
