Bleep bleep, its Space Invaders!

Does anyone need an explanation of Space Invaders? This proto-game seems to have always been with us from the time of the dinosaurs. But no, it was born somewhere in the seventies. A first shoot-em-up game, simple the understand but difficult enough to keep one interested for a while. Compared to today’s super immersed interactive games, this is extremely simple and flat.

But as such, Space Invaders is both simple and complex enough for a learning project. So a bit of code that “does the game”, connect it up to the big monitor and keyboard and done right? Yep, possible, but that is much too easy, where is the fun in that? So here is a small project on an Arduino with small 380x180 pixel display and small little button switches.
