← Lokate · Help
Lokate records your GPS tracks and ties them to your logs, so you can relive a training session or a search and study how it went. These guides walk through recording, your log forms and lists, moving data in and out, and keeping every assignment safe.
Build your own log forms and fill them in after each session.
Reports & Journal ›Quick Report, Quick Review and the Journal — read your logs back.
Predefined Lists ›Reusable lists — trail layers, evaluators, locations — behind your form fields.
Import & Export ›Bring tracks in from CalTopo or GPX, and send yours back out.
Archiving ›Every assignment kept as a zip in your own iCloud or Google Drive.
Lokate’s primary job is to record and plot your position, so you can study your and your K9’s tracks later. It is also a live situational-awareness tool while you work.
The compass icon switches the map between three modes. These change only how the map behaves, never the GPS.

Terrain mapThe HUD shows compass direction, coordinates, speed and elevation; toggle each in Settings, and long-press a value to copy it. The vertical slider tilts the map from a flat 2D view into a 3D terrain view, so elevation changes read at a glance.
