Emilio Vargas II is President and CEO of Intellecy Inc.He has over 25 years of leadership and marketing experience. Emilio developed his expertise while working as a marketing and business executive for several distinguished companies including Delta Airlines, Marriott, United Parcel Service, ENCAD (A Kodak Company) and SKF.
Emilio graduated from Saint John’s University in New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting. He earned two master’s degrees from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, New York—MBA Strategic Marketing and MBA Organizational Leadership.
Emilio entered the U.S. Army as a Commissioned Officer. Emilio served 6 years on active duty in various locations throughout the U.S, Germany, and the Persian Gulf. After completing his active duty commitment, he served in the reserves and retired as a Colonel. His military service helped him develop excellent leadership and management skills that he has used throughout his career.
Upon his discharge, Emilio joined United Parcel Service (UPS) as a Business Development Manager where he contributed to numerous strategic projects including the introduction of a UPS overnight service called UPS Early AM.
He moved to San Diego to join ENCAD Inc, an Eastman Kodak Company. During his time with ENCAD, he helped with the start-up of two new business units and the introduction of a very profitable OEM division.
Emilio joined SKF, Inc to introduce the company’s showcase product as well as lead the globalization strategy and technology development efforts that helped SKF become a global leader in a business strategy called Operator Driven Reliability.
As President of Marketing Excellence, he developed this start-up to become a recognized marketing research and communication strategist with clients such as Emerson, Citibank, Hanes, Hyundai, and the State of California.
Under Emilio’s leadership, Intellecy is becoming a purpose driven company that values innovation to create customer-oriented and socially-beneficial solutions.
Johannes “Joost” I. Boerhout is the CTO and Executive Vice President for Intellecy. Prior to joining Intellecy, Joost had a very rewarding and creative 25-year career with SKF USA Inc. He held a variety of diverse positions in engineering and product development. He contributed greatly to the company’s rapid growth and increased market share by driving rapid innovation and improving customer service. In 2007, Joost took on the role of leading the Software Business Unit. Under his direction, the business unit created a Remote Diagnostic Center earning him SKF’s Global Business Award. He followed that up by driving another strategic initiative for machinery condition monitoring called Asset Health Management. In 2011, he became Chief Technologist for SKF.
Joost is a native of the Netherlands where he earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Hogeschool Utrecht in Technical Computer Technique and Electrical Engineering.
Under Joost’s direction, Intellecy will see continued innovation and high quality products. Joost brings the engineering acumen, innovative outlook and performance focus to effectively drive Intellecy’s technology advancements and product development.
